SFX
Sound effects placed by clip colour or specific words, timed to each subtitle. Hear four sounds.

Straight answers
What ROKLIM is — and what it is not.
Is ROKLIM a DaVinci plugin?
No. It is a standalone Windows app. Resolve stays running; ROKLIM talks to it through the scripting API. In Resolve: Preferences → System → General → External scripting using = Local.
Does it work in the free version of Resolve?
No. The free edition does not expose the scripting API. You need DaVinci Resolve Studio 19.1 or newer.
Selected clips only?
Resolve: Selected clips only needs Studio 21.0.4 or newer. After Effects Animation: In/Out and Selected. Premiere Pro: time range — not marker selection.
Mac?
Not yet. Windows only.
Does it transcribe speech?
No. Bring an SRT or a subtitle track. ROKLIM does not transcribe.
Windows says “protected your PC”. Is it a virus?
No. That is SmartScreen: the installer is not signed by a known publisher yet. Click More info, then Run anyway.
Why one Text+ clip per word?
Resolve: 1 word = 1 Text+ clip. After Effects: 1 word = 1 text layer. Change a typo or a time — layout stays.
How is this different from Magic Subtitles, Snap Captions or Caption Cat?
Those are Fusion / caption plugins inside Resolve. They animate titles or the subtitle track. ROKLIM sits outside Resolve and writes ordinary Text+ clips. You keep Edit-page control of each word. Fusion template packs often hit Resolve’s “You have reached a limitation” wall or break on a version bump — ROKLIM does not install Fusion templates.
After Effects and Premiere Pro?
Yes. After Effects: Layout, Animation, VFX. Premiere Pro: SFX. Activate in the ROKLIM app, then install the panels from the Adobe tab (Install). One license key for Resolve and Adobe. Subtitles first (Premiere captions or any SRT). Fix the text. Then After Effects: Layout → Animation → VFX. SFX last in Premiere, after EXPORT FOR PP. ROKLIM does not transcribe.
Who owns the SFX samples?
The sounds in the catalog are third-party or public-domain assets bundled for convenience. ROKLIM owns the app and plugins, not the audio. Verify the original license before commercial use.
What does a subscription include?
$40 / month, 7-day free trial, cancel anytime. Layout, Animation, SFX and VFX on Resolve; AE/PP panels included. The app downloads the Resolve engines your license covers when it starts. One license key → up to 2 computers. To free a slot: Deactivate this PC in the app.
How many computers per license key?
One license key → up to 2 computers. To free a slot: Deactivate this PC in the app.
Does lifetime work offline?
Lifetime is one payment, up to 2 computers, and works offline after activation.
Affiliate program?
Yes. 20% on a lifetime sale is from that payment (once); on a subscription it is from every renew. 7-day cookie, last referrer, payouts from $10 via Lemon Squeezy. Apply: roklim.lemonsqueezy.com/affiliates. Details: Affiliate.
