ROKLIM is a standalone app for Windows and Mac that works next to DaVinci Resolve — free or Studio. It turns your subtitles into word-by-word Text+ clips, lays them out in groups and rows, and then adds animation, sound effects and visual effects — each step driven by clip colours, words or timeline markers, so a whole video is done in minutes instead of hours.
Getting startedRequirements, Resolve settings, install and activation.
LayoutSubtitles → one Text+ clip per word, laid out in your zone.
Premade layoutsSave a finished group and apply its look to any other.
AnimationsFusion animations on words by colour, by word or by hand.
SFXSounds under words, by colour or by the word itself.
VFXEffects at timeline markers via adjustment clips.
TroubleshootingWhat to check when something does not work.
How the modules work together
- Subtitles. Let ROKLIM make them from the audio (Layout → Create subtitles), or use a subtitle track — Resolve Studio's own transcription or an SRT file — and fix the text.
- Layout reads the subtitles and places every word as its own Text+ clip, grouped and sized to fit the part of the frame you choose. It can also colour the clips by row, so the next modules know what to do with each word.
- Animations (the module was called Macro before) puts Fusion
.settinganimations on the words — for example every orange word slides up, every lime word pops. - SFX puts sounds under the words — by clip colour or for particular words.
- VFX adds effects at timeline markers: at every marker of a colour it places an adjustment clip with your macro.
Every module works on its own too: Animation, SFX and VFX do not need a subtitle track, only Text+ clips or markers.
Where things are in the app
- The hub (main window) checks your Resolve setup, opens the modules, shows your license and installs updates.
- Every module window has How to use at the top — a short guided tour of that window — and a hint on every field when you hover over it. Hints are in English, Spanish, Polish and Russian.
- Profiles at the top of each window keep several complete setups, for example one per client or video format.
