Edit Animation

New Settings section: every setting of the animation's nodes that differs from DaVinci's own default — noise detail, scale, mask gaps, blur and more.
Show all lists the settings nobody changed too.
Settings moved by keyframes or an expression show a lock — the animation drives them.
New ⟳ button at the top: reads the words under the playhead again if the panel missed a change made in DaVinci.

Catalog

Use as: In · Out · FX on your animation cards (Local): tell ROKLIM where an animation belongs.

Animations that move without keyframes (for example a living noise fill) now count as animated, and Save preview records them as a video.

Edit Animation

Animation color changes right away while you drag in the color picker; one Undo takes the whole change back.
Clicks in the color picker no longer drop the word you picked.
Animations with a gradient show the gradient colors in Animation color — and change them.
DaVinci Resolve stays smooth after you close Edit Animation, and when you switch back to DaVinci right after a change.

Text into Fusion and Save as Macro are in Easy too (ANIMATIONS): the words of a group in one Fusion composition, your Fusion nodes saved as one…
SFX: click a sound to pick it, then the big APPLY puts it on the words. ＋ still puts a sound right away.
VFX: click an effect or a graphic to pick it, then PUT ON TIMELINE.
Pictures (ANIMATIONS → Images): drag the corners to resize, the circle above to turn (Shift — by 15°).
Word groups (LAYOUT): drag a corner of the group frame to make the words bigger or smaller.
1 row no longer runs off the frame: the words get smaller to fit.

One Click → CREATE CAPTIONS asks when there are captions already: apply the preset to them, or make new ones.
Pictures: ANIMATIONS → Images shows the picture under the playhead on the frame.
All groups: Easy asks before it changes all groups at once.
Questions now open in ROKLIM's own window.
The catalogs of Looks, One Click presets and Graphics have one button bar at the bottom, like the animations catalog: click picks a card, double-click uses it.
Sounds go on with ＋ only — a click on the name no longer adds them by mistake.
The progress bar sits under the status line and no longer covers it.
The VFX tab no longer shows the Groups row: effects and graphics always go at the playhead.
A clear message tells you what to add to the Media Pool when Text+, an Adjustment Clip or a Fusion Composition is missing.

Easy Mode (Beta)

Spacing: set the space between words and between rows before CREATE CAPTIONS.
Fonts per row: every row of a Look keeps its own font, also in One Click presets.
Copy / Paste: copy how a group looks (LAYOUT) or its animations (ANIMATIONS) and paste them onto other groups.
Your own Looks: ＋ saves the group on the frame as a Look, with a picture of it for the tile.
Fonts: the font picker shows the styles each font really has.
SAMPLE remembers its colors and font; a color picked for a word goes on that word only.
Fit to clip: In, Out and FX animations can be fitted to the length of the clip separately.
Clear: tick which animations come off the words.
Sounds: a sound at End now ends exactly at the end of the clip.
One Click Chain: Rows follow — every row of the next group comes in the way the last group left; Rows mixed — the other rows from random sides.
Pictures: ANIMATIONS → Images puts animations on the pictures under the playhead; pictures keep their size.

The hub has two tabs, Easy and Advanced.
Make the subtitles from the audio, pick a Look and the rows, press CREATE CAPTIONS — the words are laid out in that look right away.
Sizes: Fill (every row fills the frame width) or As saved (the same row sizes in every group).
ANIMATIONS: click a tile and the group, a row or a word gets it; animations by clip color; tiles with arrows for animations that come from a side.
SFX and VFX: sounds and effects at the start or end of words, rows or groups, with an offset; sounds by clip color; ＋ puts a sound or an effect at the playhead.
Web / Local: animations, sounds and effects from the roklim.com catalog are downloaded and put on the words in one click.
ONE CLICK: save a group with its look and animations as a preset and put it on every group; Chain makes the groups leave and come in from changing sides.

October 17, 2026 — DaVinci Resolve stays smooth while ROKLIM is open

Works quietly next to DaVinci Resolve

While you work in DaVinci Resolve, ROKLIM no longer closes its drop-down lists or interrupts dragging a value with the mouse.
After updating, run Workspace → Scripts → ROKLIM once in DaVinci Resolve (or restart DaVinci Resolve), so the new version runs inside it.

Edit Animation

Path points of animations like Slide In, Slide Out and Slight Bounce can now be moved on the viewer.
The motion curve no longer jumps up after you move a path point or change the curve — animations that come in from the side end where they should.
With Edit Animation open, ROKLIM looks at DaVinci only while the mouse is over the viewer or the Edit panel.
No more error message when you close Edit Animation.

Animations on pictures

A picture of another shape than the timeline (for example a 9:16 picture on a 16:9 timeline) keeps its size with every animation.
Animations that measure what they are on (frames, rectangles, rounded corners, shine) follow the edges of the picture itself.
Adding animations to words no longer puts a picture on the timeline for a moment.

The font is calibrated first. When your AI lays out subtitles, ROKLIM calibrates the font before the layout — like RUN ALL in Easy Mode — so the words are…
Tell your AI the font. Ask for example "subtitles in Montserrat Bold": the words are laid out in that font right away.
No colored words unless you ask. The AI no longer colors key words on its own.
Undo now removes the words after the AI lays out the same subtitles a second time.
The AI can look at a whole frame, to see a group of words at once (only when you ask it to check).
AI activity shows the recognized text and, for a layout, the font, the fixed words and the calibration.
After this update, reconnect ROKLIM in claude.ai once (Settings → Connectors → ROKLIM → Disconnect, then Connect) so the AI gets the new abilities.

Faster

Edit Animation in the free DaVinci Resolve: dragging a path point now takes a fraction of a second instead of several seconds.

Animations (was Macro)

The Macro module is now called Animations: CLEAR ANIMATIONS, ADD ANIMATION, ANIMATE SPECIFIC WORDS and EDIT ANIMATION (was Edit in DaVinci).
Colour rows you add as you need them: three by default, + Add color adds one, ✕ removes one.
A narrower window.
Pictures: an animation no longer makes a wide picture smaller.

Layout

TEXT POSITION ZONE folds and shows its four values when folded.
Text layout: 1 row, 2 rows, 3 rows or Custom — each with its own Fine settings, saved with Save.
A smaller window.
Auto-measure puts a temporary Text+ on the timeline by itself when there is none under the playhead, and gives your own Text+ back exactly as it was.
Update Existing: the plain Font & Style change is gone — DaVinci Resolve changes fonts of many clips by itself now.

SFX and VFX

Colour rows like in Animations, and file names instead of paths.
SFX: Word → Sound widens the window while it is open; adjustment sounds sit in two lines.
VFX: marker colour rows, three by default.

Time range by itself

ROKLIM reads the I and O marks of your timeline by itself and shows them in every window — there is no Get In/Out button any more.

In ROKLIM Macro, press EDIT IN DAVINCI: ROKLIM sits on top of the DaVinci viewer, and you change animations right on the picture.
Pick a word: click its dot on the viewer (Ctrl+click adds more), or select clips on the timeline — only what is under the playhead, what you see, is…
Path: drag the points and handles of the movement.
Mini timeline under the picture: drag an animation to move it, drag its ends to change its length — or give one parameter (Blur, Opacity, Path…) its own…

New Save as Macro button in Macro, next to Text into Fusion.
In Fusion, select your nodes (or your group) and press Ctrl+C.
Loose nodes are grouped for you: ROKLIM finds the input the word goes into and the output; you can pick others.
Everything you built stays exactly as it is: expressions, sliders, published inputs, curves and paths.
Your own folder paths that Fusion writes into a saved macro are removed, so the file works on any computer.

Subtitles from audio (free DaVinci Resolve)

Any frame rate

ROKLIM now reads the frame rate from your DaVinci timeline.
On 25 / 30 fps timelines (and any rate that differs from your project), words now land exactly on their subtitles and get the right length.
In/Out no longer says "0 subtitles in range" when the subtitles are there.
VFX adjustment clips and Macro text clips also get the right length on such timelines.

Change Macro

Bounce_Color animations are rebuilt: the white flash lies on the letters and the word keeps its own Text+ color — they now work in any Fusion composition…
Text into Fusion: every word stays in its place, with or without an animation, and its animation keeps working.
Macro color — change the colours inside an animation (the line of UnderLine, the band of Shine, a shadow, the box of Rectangle…) with a colour picker.
Macro settings — sliders for sizes inside an animation: width, thickness, gap, padding, soft edge, corner radius.
Readable names — rows say Path, Position, Scale, Rotation, Opacity, Blur, Glow… instead of Fusion's internal names.
Live explains what it needs: a second monitor with Video Clean Feed turned on once in DaVinci.
The preview now shows Shine on pictures and says which effects only DaVinci can show.

Animations on pictures

Add Macro works on a picture that was never opened in Fusion.
A picture keeps its size with every Input Scaling setting of the project.
Shine, UnderLine and Rectangle fit the picture itself, not the whole frame.

Words snap to each other on the canvas (same height, same width).
Steadier editing: stacked pairs keep together when you resize, one change at a time reaches DaVinci.

Renders

After a Premade preview or subtitles, your Deliver settings (format, location, file name), In/Out marks and page come back as they were.

Premade Layout

Pairs. A word made of two stacked clips is saved and applied as one word.
Add to timeline on Local and Web layout cards puts the saved group itself at the playhead.
Style for each word: choose whose look the word takes from the preset.
The word list is two columns: track, word and a row dropdown.
Clicking a word on the canvas selects it and no longer changes its row or style.
Zoom the canvas with the mouse wheel, pan with the middle button, or use the zoom buttons in the corner.
Save always takes where the words are right now.

Layout

SRT file as the subtitle source: "or SRT file:" under Subtitle Track.
Rows are found by where the words really are, including words you moved by hand.

Macro

Text into Fusion orders the words of a group by start time, so the first word is the base.

Delete on every layout and macro: asks first, then moves the file and its preview to the Recycle Bin.
Downloading from Web also saves the preview next to the file.

VFX

Web / Local on every row, with previews.
The VFX window opens big enough to show everything.

Layout — clip colours by line

Color clips by now has two modes.
Line is now the default. Settings and profiles saved before keep working and open in Line; pick Role and save if you want the old Big / Context colours.
Colour lists show a small swatch next to each name — the same colours as clip colours in DaVinci.
Export Layout still reads roles from colours, so use Role when you export.

Premade Layout — keeps your rows

Apply puts the words into the same rows as the saved group: as many words per row as it had, in the order they are spoken (a group with more or fewer words is…
Rows are labelled row 1, row 2, … — as many as the preset has.
When a row has as many words as in the saved group, every word lands exactly where its word stood — staggered and offset rows come out as designed.

Macro: Fit animation to clip length

New checkbox with a ⚙ rules table in Macro, Add Macro and Word → Macro.
Each rule: clip length from–to (frames) → animation length (frames).

A clip that matches no rule keeps the animation as is.

Layout: Premade presets save everything

Save from group now stores everything on each word: what you added by hand, keyframes, any animations.
Apply puts it all on each word and keeps the word's own text.
New checkbox: Fit animation to clip length — off keeps the animation as saved, on moves it so the last key lands on the clip's last frame.
Undo returns every word exactly as it was before the preset: animation, nodes, position, style and blend mode.
Dragging the group and then clicking a word no longer throws the group back.
The Visual panel and Premade now work with the Layout engine your app downloads (engine 0.1.10 — restart ROKLIM once to pick it up).

Catalog

Tabs follow the module: Macro shows Presets and Layouts, Layout shows Layouts, SFX shows Sounds; tabs that don't apply are greyed out.
Folder… button: pick where downloads go, separately for sounds, macros and layouts.

Fixes

Fixed: DaVinci Resolve could freeze while an animation or preset was being applied (Macro update 0.1.26, downloads by itself on the next ROKLIM start).

The catalogue can now put things straight onto the timeline instead of only filling a slot.

Set the gap between rows of an already laid-out group. Gap means the white space between rows — the same number, in the same units, as the V.Gap…
Changing a gap moves every row below it by the same amount, so the rows underneath never collide.
Dry run reports what would change — per group, the current and the new gap, and the shift each row would take — and applies nothing.
Works inside the From / To timecode range like the rest of the window.
The number you type is the gap you get, whatever the font or size.
Macro — Get In/Out in Clear Macros
The Clear Macros window has its own From / To timecode fields; it now has the Get In/Out button to fill them from the timeline, the same as Add Macro.
